The order in which members are listed to sign up for Herdsmanship shifts is based on (in priority order) club leadership points, attendance, years in the program (used as a tie-breaker).
Note: Parent herdsmanship hours are also required of at least one parent per family during Fair per Snohomish County 4-H.
Due to our club membership size we ask that you sincerely evaluate your interest in 4-H and the Hilltop Hayburners and confirm your commitment to the club by May 2012. Should you choose to resign from the club after May 2012 we ask that you please fulfill your required herdsmanship shift at fair. Resigning after the month of June will create a hardship and have a severe impact on the entire club for Fair preparations which includes the herdsmanship scheduling.
Participate in club fundraiser.
If you are planning on showing your horse at Fair you must also do all of the following: Complete your required County 4-H Horse Judging for fair eligibility no later than June 1, 2012. (Attending the final county judging in June is not recommended.
Please review your calender and make every effort to attend one of the several opportunities before June.
If you are a New 4-H member and are planning on showing your horse at Fair you must attend at least one Snohomish County 4-H Horse Show before fair or the Snohomish County 4-H Training School.
Submit an up-to-date 4-H Record Book by the May 2012 club general business meeting.
This includes Permanent Record Book and Individual Horse Record.
*IMPORTANT NOTE* Members who do not submit their up-to-date Record Book for review by the May general business meeting are not eligible to attend Fair.
All members who have met both the club and the Snohomish County 4-H requirements are automatically eligible to represent the Hilltop Hayburners at the Evergreen State Fair.
It is understood that members who choose not to fulfill their club requirements have agreed to forfeit their club membership standing.
