Positions listed in RED are required to be filled in order for the club to operate smoothly and efficiently.
 
Positions listed in BLUE are optional but greatly benefit the entire club.  
 Ideally parent and child would sign up to be a member of a committee together

EDUCATIONAL HORSE RELATED ACTIVITIES

CLINICS, FIELDTRIPS

GUEST SPEAKERS 

Plans, organizes, and coordinates horse related clinics and fieldtrips.  

Arranges for guest speakers at club meetings. 

Oversees and supports member efforts to plan, organize and coordinate club horse related educational activities.

CLUB COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTSGathers information regarding other possible club community service projects. Plans, schedules and coordinates those community service activities to be completed by the club.Oversees and supports members efforts  to identify and complete selected community serviv project.  
FAIR GARDENBED & FLOWER BASKETS Keeps club flowerbeds at Fairgrounds weeded  and watered and makes sure garden is in bloom during the Evergreen State Fair. Decorates flowerbed to coordinate with Fair "theme" for that year. Works with other adults and members to plan, design and implement the club gardenbed at Fair while keeping within the approved gardenbed budget. Also oversees distribution and collection of hanging baskets for use at fair.

 

FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIESCreates annual fundraising options then organizes and oversees project(s)Oversees and supports members efforts to identify and implement club fundraising activities.

 

 

MOUNTED EVENTS  & ACTIVITESPlans, organizes and coordinates fun mounted activities for the club such as Easter egg hunt on horseback, playdays etc. Oversees and supports member efforts to plan, organize and coordinate club mounted events 
SOCIAL EVENTS & OTHER FUN ACTIVITIESPlans, organizes, and coordinates club outings such as parties, fieldtrips, dinners, and other fun group activities. Oversees and supports member efforts to identify and plan club social events while keeping within the annual social events budget.  

 
Parents who lead these positions would ideally do so in conjunction with their own child. 
 
  

INDIVIDUAL

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS 

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIESPARENTMEMBER
ADOPT-A ROADGathers, updates and distributes information regarding this community service project. Collects and returns necessary equipment. 
DEMONSTRATIONS Serves as a point of contact for information regarding demonstrations. Works with club Vice-president to assist in coordinating dates and locations for demonstrations, solicitation of parent judges,  and tracking of completion of requirements for Fair.   

DRESSAGE &

OVER FENCES INFORMATION FACILITATOR 

Serves as a point of contact for information regarding dressage and over fences horse shows. Keeps up to date on developments / changes in dressage and over fences rules and activities and communicates  this information to club members.   
DRILL TEAM 

Works closely in all aspect with the club's mounted drill team. 

Works side by side with the team captain and coaches. Oversees all administrative duties to include calender for upcoming drill season.

Adult leader for drill team at all drill events.

Ensures all liability risks are evaluated.

YAHOO SITE ADMINISTRATOR 

A parent volunteer who sets up and monitors the generic email distribution list in close supervision with the general club leaders. SIRI BARDEN  
FAIR DECORATIONS  COORDINATOR Responsible for coordination and supervision (where needed) of Fair setup, takedown and storage. Assigns subcommittee leaders. Facilitates member discussions and/or decisions regarding updating of fair decorations 
FAIR INFORMATIONAL POSTER & STALL SIGNS Works with club president and other members and parents to ensure production and display of informational posters at Fair. Collects, orders, and facilitates display of horse name stall signs at Fair. 

HORSE BOWL / HIPPOLOGY

INFORMATION FACILITATOR 

 

Serves as a point of contact for the club regarding Horse Bowl and Hippology. Gathers, updates, and distributes information to the club rgarding specifics of these activities such as dates and locations of upcoming contests. Plans and organized possible practice/study sessions.   
HORSE JUDGING / GROOM SQUAD INFORMATION FACILITATOR Serves as a point of contact for the club egarding Horse Judging and groom Squad. Gathers, updates and distributes information to the club regarding specifics of these activities such as dates and locations of upcoming horse judgings and groom squad contets. Plan groom squad and/or judging practices.    
JUNIOR TRAIL RIDES Plans and communicates with members and parents regarding club sponsored trails rides appropriate for more junior or inexperienced members. 

PERFORMANCE INFORMATION FACILITATOR Serves as a point of contact for information regarding western and english performance horse shows. Keeps up to date on developments / changes in performance rules and activities and communicates  this information to club members. 
RECORD BOOK INFORMATION FACILITATOR Helps mmbers with their record books. Plans record book study groups and parties.   

STALL RESERVATIONS

Provides members with information regarding upcoming 4-H shows and solicits and manages paperwork necessary to secure stall reservations. KRISTAL HOAGLAND

TRAIL RIDES

Plans and communicates with members regarding club sponsored trail rides and summer overnight horse camping trip. Seeks volunteer sign-up for after ride hotdogs and overnight meals etc.

These rides tend to be of a longer duration and cover more challenging ground than may be appropriate for a first time rider or horse.

 

 
VEST / SWEATSHIRTS & OHER EMBROIDERED CLUB ITEMSCoordinates sale of items by collecting order and money, places order and distributes items to members and parents.TORI GAINES
WESTERN GAMES INFORMATION FACILITATOR Serves as a point of contact for information regarding western games horse shows. Keeps up to date on developments/chnages in wstern games rules and activites and communicates this information to club members. 

 

 

PARENT TREASURERS 

These are appointed positions and require at least a two year term along with your child. Parent mentors their child regarding the accounting principles of managing monies. They assist with producing various budget reports, spreadsheets and inventory fo club and drill assets. Accept receipts for reimbursement.
